| Interesting reasoning. Once and for all meaning it could kill people and they would never get sick again? I suppose you're all for giving everyone a deadly form of the flu and seeing who survives as well?
I come from a place where nobody gets measles because everyone is vaccinated. Let's call it 'civilization'.
The situation here disgusts me- I work in Geneva with children and have recently gotten pregnant, no easy feat at my age. Now I worry that my immunity has worn off, and all those selfish, ignorant people have made the 'informed choice' to put me and my baby at risk.
I also have a friend in his thirties who caught it during the last outbreak, and he was very ill for almost 2 months. As a self-supporting single person, he went through a nightmare! | |

Congrats, mama! That's great news.
I wouldn't stress over measels, since the immunity should really last a life time, if I remember well. Flu in a sensitive period would cause more damage, actually, rather than immunized person being exposed to measels. Pop a lot of vit C, all vits. Wash hands, don't touch face, eyes, ears, nose, pick your mouth, etc. It's quite scary, being a risky prego (I was due to chem exposure and right after med termination) and being a teacher, I know.
On the other hand, never had a better immune system than through my healthy pregnancy. The system works overdrive.
