| | pregnant and losing my hearing!!!
guys, can anyone recommend a good ENT specialist in Basel/Zurich? I am in my second trimester and for some strange reason m losing my hearing in my right ear. I am going to the HNO in Universitatspital, but so far they havent been able to diagnose anything. Now they are asking me to get an MRI. I am really concerned and want to get a second opinion. But i dont know any good ENT specialists. Pls let me know if u know any good ones!!!

There's a good one on Schifflände - Dr Haag-Jordan - she takes time to get an appointment and usually runs late (so take a good book), but she seems to know her stuff and speaks good English.
Dr. med. Annemarie Haag Jordan
Schifflaende 2
4051 Basel
Tel: 061 262 02 66
Fax: 061 262 02 68
Good luck.

I concur, it is probably hormonal. Good luck.
Just a side note, I had my nose affected, I wouldn't smell and taste, it's still on and off. Some ENTs might not know about hormonal causes, though, I would see an endocrinologist, too.

Thanks for updating, I really think going to an ENT first is the right choice, he can then see if there is nothing acute causing the hearingloss...best wishes!

..however by the time you have had a few sleepless nights next to a squaking baby you may think that hearing loss may not have been soooo bad afterall. | This user would like to thank slammer for this useful post: | |

I lost my hearing during both pregnancies. Hope tests go well and it's just one of those bizarre side effects of being pregnant...among all of the others
