Fragrance free laundry detergent

I am hoping someone can help with finding fragrance-free laundry detergent in Zurich. We have a family member who is potentially allergic to fragrance in things, so we are trying to identify brands of detergent that would work. A US friend suggested fragrance-free is often used on babies cloths there, so maybe some of the moms on the forum have ideas? Any information would help!

Filetti Sensible is supposed to be very mild and non-irritating. You can find it in Coop and it comes in powder or liquid form.

Can't recommend any brands personally but a quick google for "Waschmittel ohne Parfum" or "Waschmittel ohne Duftstoffe" reveals lots of people talking about a product called "OMO Sensitive". Might be worth a try if you can find it near you.

You can order "Omo Sensitive" from Coop online. It's worth checking in store as well.

It's also available online from Migros Leshop.ch

"Total Sensitive" is a Migros own brand name and which should be available at most if not all their stores.

I use persil sensitive and good. Lots of the ones marked "sensitive" are without fragrance. Although you might sneak a sniff at the bottle when you're in the store to make sure, or check on the label. Uh..not sure what it would say though in German... ohne duft?

Milette from migros is good as well. It's the equivalent to the Filetti range at Coop.

Actually, none of the sensitive washing detergent I found were fragnance free, sensitive only meant they have been dermatologically super tested.

If you really want something not triggering perfume allergy reaction (I get it sometimes, too), go to the nearest health food store, you have more chance to succeed there, with some very hippie, biodegradable and organic stuff, than what is commercially branded as "sensitive".

On that note, perfume allergy refers to many products, from cologne, deodorant, shower gels, shampoos, creams, sun screens, fabric softeners, air refresheners, toilet cleaners, surface cleaners and desinfectants, car air fresheners. All of those products are available without perfume, really, go ask in the hippie store or really well stocked and informed pharmacy. I usually buy these things in Germany or France. France has this stuff in regular groceries.

If this person is young or spends in general lot of time at a desk at work, or school, the stuff they wipe the desk with might have perfume in it (most certainly has). If this person goes to creche, ask about what they wash the siesta blankets and sheets with, if this person works with dishclothes, uses towels at work, etc. it is always good to inquire what they use, or bring your own.

Re: Fragrance free laundry detergent

I also am susceptible to some perfumed things like cleaners, shower gels, etc, which trigger my asthma. I've been using the Migros budget washing powder in the green and white box for 3 years now, though, with no problems.
