When you face horrible supply problems that drive you and your kid insane, you get really obsessed with things that can reduce the supply even if at microscopic amounts.(
Why not switch to bottle feeding before going insane?

Holy necroposting, Batman!

Why would you revive a thread from September for such a question?

If you are truly interested in knowing why some women keep on trying breastfeeding instead of going directly for the formula, sometimes suffering a lot of discomfort, you can check the internet for a proper explanation with the proper medical terminology, that I could never succinctly express myself.

You can start here if you want to:

http://lalecheleague.ch/en/
http://www.who.int/topics/breastfeeding/en/

I will not engage in a discussion of bottle feeding vs. breastfeeding. It's up to each individual, hopefully with enough information and support, to decide what is best for their individual case.

I'd support fennel tea. But continue with the milk obviously.
