Any werewolves out there? Or people like me who are 'lunatics' - no, not mad, but who are affected by the moon. BTW, in French 'lunatique' does not mean mad, but of changing mood. Tonight is the most amazing full-moon, with a huge aura. Just had the spotting scope on it- amazing. But yes, I tend to sleep very badly when it is full-moon! So not much hope for a good snooze tonight. Bof, cest la vie, as we say in English.

Fight club of course! You know about the insomniac guy (Edward Norton) who is a regular office guy and starts up a fight club and starts thinking he has an imaginary friend (Brad Pitt) and they go fighting every night then back to work in the morning? You gotta check it out

I woke up early, at 600. there's nothing to do at 0600 ..... NOTHING!!!
Of course there's something to do!
Get up, have a bit of coffee or tea (or whatever your morning beverage is), watch the sun rise over the mountains, listen to the birds singing and chattering as they wake up.
Or, in my case, add a cat that both wants the door open to go out so she can alternate between listenening to the birds AND coming back to me to ensure she has my full attention every time I move or otherwise seem like my attention is engaged in something that isn't her.
(Did I already mention she had me up before 6am yesterday, when I could have slept until 8 at least?)

I got into a 6km habit in the morning, outside around the lake it is really nice. Mornings are the best, enjoy them while you aren't on breakfast/kiddo/cleanup/dishwasher/work prep/family stuff drill yet.

Yesterday, I got up at 5:30am. Went online, payed my bills, wrote half a training course, and did some study for my degree. I chatted a little with my friends on the West coast of the US and australia. I stopped at 8am to get ready for work.

Every time I try that, even if I'm really quiet, little ears hear me and assume it's time to get up, get fed milk, play lego etc etc.

Ouchboy my love, I thought of you last night as I crawled into bed!
It was only 11.15pm and I was surprised that for once I was actually having an early night! Please, please, please listen to your elders and go to bed by 11pm each night!
Once the kids are in bed you have a little bit of "you" time before folding the washing/ironing the clothes, tidying the house, paying the bills, putting on the dishwasher, replying to emails, spending a few minutes (okay an hour or 2) on EF. Then if you are really really lucky you can crawl into bed before midnight and hope, no pray, that you will get at least a solid stint of 2 hours sleep before one of your "precious darlings" wakes with a bad dream, a wet bed, thirsty, throwing up, toilet run, falling out of bed, waking up cold ...................
If you are really lucky this will only happen once every night!
My advice my dear young single friend is make the most of getting at least 8 hours solid sleep each night before parental responsibility comes knocking loudly on your door!!

I have teenagers. They don't even know that 6am exists - at least not as a morning time. Though at 6:30, my daughter usually brings me another cup of tea.

Depends.
My daughter (18) got up at 5:30 this morning, and still managed to miss the bus at 7:57 to Lugano, so had to beg a ride from my girlfriend (who likes her 10+ hrs. sleep)
woke up
checked facebook
checked mexican news
went to eat yoghurt
wondered around the living room
took shower.
got dressed
picked up my uniform from the laundry room
put it in bag.
went to office
stared blankly at screen
stared blankly at screen
