I ve jsut joined the forum. My family is moving to Basel in September. We are french but we moved to England 2 years ago.
My son is nearly 2 and starts to speak English, I would like to know if there are some english creches or Nurseries in Basel? it would be great if he could be with english speaking children. Can anyone help?
Another thing, can anyone tell me where is it good to live in Basel?

Basel is an beautiful city and maximum place is safe to live,, between where is your office ?
i personnally find Allschwil good place to live in basel.

Welcome to Switzerland soon. We too are moving in July to be with husband.
We are going to be living in Reinach and its beautiful. Its about 20 mins outside Basel. Have lived in Basel, near Messeplatz. Everywhere in and around Basel is fantastic, depends how far away from work you want to live.

Allschwil is ok, I've been resident there 5 years, but the planes are a real blight.

We dont really want to live in France, so we ll stick to basel area.

My wife works at Little Blessings. It uses the premises of (English speaking) Crossroads International Church. Open three mornings a week, easily reached by trams 10, 11

There's a also a Tuesday coffee-morning. where you can bring kids up to 5 years old. Wednesday morning, there are introductory German Lessons which connects with Little Blessings.

Close to the 16 tram, 36, 37, 47 busses, and the 10, 11 and E11 trams. (Dreispitz, Leimgrubenweg).
