Re: english speaking playgroup (basel)

Hello,

If the main train station (SBB) is convenient for you, we have some spots at the Gymboree Basel Preschool ... I am the new owner, not ONLY a good Samaritan ;-)

- We take children 2-5 years old
- We give children a good balance of play time and learning time (Our Preschool combines elements of our School Skills, Art, Music and Sports program)
- We have a Summer Camp program that will run in July and August

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Re: english speaking playgroup (basel)

Any recommendations of which are good parks with play areas suitable for 18 month old toddlers? I'm near Aeschenplatz. Will check out Gymboree for sure!

Thanks
Melissa

Schutzenmatt park is always a good choice. Lots of green areas for your little one to toddle around in and usually lots of other moms and kids to meet.

I strongly recommend this place. My daughter loved it so much and is missing it as much!

She got a very good level of english and was loved by her teachers. They are kind, loving and very professional teachers.

They are also very flexible and supportive.

They really care!

Re: english speaking playgroup (basel)

I just thought of another good thing for toddlers - the Lange Erlen Tier Park, this is a great little, free zoo with mostly small animals (goats, donkeys, ponies, monkeys etc.) It is near the Eglisee tram stop (Tram 6 or 2).

My daughter (22 months) and I think little kids in general love the tier park. It has smaller animals and she can pet them ... the small animals are more active than many of the big animals she sees at the zoo ... hence they are more exciting and interesting. (Doesn't hurt that it's free ...)
