Public Schools in ZH with lots of Ex-pat kids

Hi everyone
We are considering moving to Zurich and would like to know if there are any public schools with a large number of ex-pat / international kids. We speak fluent German and English (and understand Swiss German, though we don't speak it) and are looking for an environment where our 'mixed culture' kids wouldn't be the exception, no matter what language they decide to speak. So far, it seems like the schools we have found are pretty much socially divided down clear nationality lines (Swiss, Croatian, Italian, etc). (...though this is a superficial observation- I don't know how much truth there is to this). Thanks!

Just to offer another slant on it; there have been reports that schools with a lot of international kids who don't have German as a first language are sometimes a bit slower than the schools with a broader base of the common language.

The teachers sometimes have to break off from teaching to make sure the kids who aren't fully up to speed with German catch up and understand the lesson.

Obviously I'm not referring to absolute beginners in German because they are given separate lessons.

Don't have time to dig up the reports right now but it might be another factor to consider when making your choice.

could u let us know how old the kids are and what grade their in? If you are interested in public schools we have here Real-, Sekundar and Kantonsschule or Gymnasium - all of which are a bit different levels of education. Do you refer to the city of Zürich? Thanks

We will be arriving in Zurich in summer 2012. Our children will then be 4.5 and 6.5 years old.
Both of them are fluent in French and English, but know no German.
We too would have liked an environment with people from everywhere, other 'cosmopolitan' children and parents.
We were thinking of going to oerlikon, because it's reasonably close to ETHZ, where my husband will work. But knowing where expats are schooled (not international or private schools) would be a big help.
