I would go to your local Kantonal family office before paying for a test. If it is a case of disputed paternity they will make sure that the costs are claimed back from the man if he is the father (if we are talking about you checking the father of your child that is). This will also then make the process quicker if you need to start receiving alimony from him and setting up visitation rights for him. Essentially this way the outcome is always focussed on what is best for your child.
If this is a paternity test for some other reason (you want to trace your father or something else) then this may well not apply, but I am not experienced in that area at all.
