Hi all, my 4 yo boy is desperate to do something active and sporty, preferably by himself (ie. I dont participate with him) he watches his big sister go to ballet each week and begs to do something too but i have searched for 'kinderturnen' and Turnverein and there is nothing for his age group

Im looking for anything! football, gymnastics, karate....something for him to do for himself and also make new friends.
I did offer that he goes to ballet (they start at 4) but that was turned down flat

I did want something local but i think that maybe asking too much, any ideas?

If Afoltern am Albis is handy for you there is a Bonsai Karate classs starting from 4 years old on a Wednesday evening. How about swimming lessons?

Clubs and whatnot seem to kick off about the same time as Kindergarten starts so you will probably find more when he is 5, although that doesn't help much now.

Swimming lessons is all that we have found for our 4 y.o., to be honest.

My four year old boy goes to Waldspielgruppe - Forest playgroup. Whilst not sport it is very active and something he does on his own - and loves.
He also has swimming lessons where he is in the water without me - which made him feel very grown up.

Try intersoccer.ch for a soccer day camp. They have half day camps for the younger kids and all day camps for the older kids. Both of my girls are doing a week this summer. They tried two days over Easter and loved it.

this looks just right, only its on at the same time as my daughter does ballet typical!
maybe i can pursued her to do this instead!
