I may have an opinion today and it maybe different tomorrow and this is okay. For me this means that I am growing and learning.
You have a right to express an opinion but not to judge other people whether they are right or wrong. of course you can judge other people if you want to but this only alienates other people. | | | | | I have given you many examples of why I disagree with you, and I do agree that sometimes I do talk BS, when I am with my friends...not when I give medical advice, as many EFers know, when I do not know the answer I offer to find it out for them.
Also, as I have mentioned countless times, you give false information as facts not as opinions and THAT is what I am against...

Of course you are more than welcome to listen to whoever you want, but you won't see me discussing how to fix a car because I know squat about it...but then again that is just me. And I would ask for Medical advice from someone who is not a medic or nurse etc..

But when I look at the misinderstandings, fallacies and falsehoods that are spread over the Internet in fields that are very clear, simple and well understood, then I shudder at the mere thought of the errors that are possibly peddled on line in fields that are not that well researched yet.

Doctors who made commercials for cigarettes? Where was that? Never heard of such. Guess they were doctors just like those dentists who try to sell you a fancy new brush on TV are dentists.

You are getting a bit carried away with this as if people are trying to steal customers from you and finall, and I don't mean this nastily you think you are always right!

I have absolutely no doubt that the Internet can be a very dangerous place to seek advice and t self-diagnose. I have no idea where your deep distrust of the medical profession originates from- but your attack on Angela seems very unfair.
The Internet of course gives both sides of the argument. I must say, having said that the Internet may not be the best source of medical advice, it can provide some interesting insights and info. Here is one I'd rather believe. As said, your choice- but take care. Few of us have the background knowledge which will allow us to successfully sift medical information safely. Are Your Food Allergies for Real? By COURTNEY HUTCHISON May 12, 2010 Food allergies are serious business -- just ask 18-year-old Dane of Charlotte, North Carolina. With milk, eggs, peanuts, shellfish, chicken, potatoes, and garlic -- and many other foods -- on his "do not eat" list, he suffers from true, life-threatening food allergies. To avoid a trip to the emergency room, everything Dane eats must be made from scratch: "I don't eat in restaurants or from vending machines," he says, "[and] I try not to be around a lot of food, which makes it a little isolating because so much of our culture and socialization revolves around food." But there are many allergy sufferers who practice the same devout food avoidance Dane does -- and don't actually have to, according to a paper published Wednesday in the Journal of the American Medical Association. While a considerable percentage of Americans report that they have a food allergy, the true incidence of food allergies may be far less, says Dr. Marc Riedl, an author of the paper and an allergist and immunologist at the University of California, Los Angeles. "If you look at the numbers, roughly half of the people who believe they have an allergy, do not," Riedl says. The Image Bank/Getty Images Many who believe they have food allergies are... View Full Caption Some of these misled patients are self-diagnosed, misinterpreting heartburn or food intolerance with a true allergy, he says. Others have seen doctors who have misinterpreted allergy test results and hence have been told to avoid foods that they don't actually have to. | This user would like to thank for this useful post: | |

You think you are so bloody clever because you can call yourself a doctor but I would like to know where you got the title. As for your ignore list. It's funny when you can't win an arguement you put people in your ignore list!! Doctor????
