This is something I have not considered before but does anyone have any experience with buying prescription drugs in France or Germany? Is it much cheaper? Worth the effort? Any problems? I'd be glad to hear experiences others have made. Thanks

In most instances much much cheaper. We can buy any of the drugs prescribed by our GP over in in France with his prescription. However we have not yet checked with our Insurance if they would agree to count those towards our 'franchise' if we ever exceeded it. Must check with them next week.

We normally buy 1 of the drugs for my OH in the UK, as it is even cheaper there. Our (ex) GP in the UK gives us a private prescription.
