Painless no drilling dentistry - the future?

Seems that a UK university (Leeds) has developed a new system for "curing" cavities without having to drill. Hallelujah !

They have licensed the technology on a worldwide basis to a Swiss firm in AG.

My guess is that it will be on the market in about three years.

The ‘filling without drilling’ method involves mimicking the conditions that promote the original growth of enamel.
Side effects.....?

Great. The only problem will be the cost. Can you imagine what the premium would be in CH for no-pain dentistry?

Time to think about going back to Uni and doing that dentistry course. 3 years down the line, you'll be able to able to pay most of your debts after dealing with a couple of cavities...

I had a friend with several visible cavities who cut all refined sugar and carbohydrates out of their diet- I mean all (that's way harder to do than it sounds) and a few months later the cavities were no longer there. So sugar pills are probably not a good answer .
