We had a consultation with a dentist for our 5 year old and are expecting a quote for all the recommended work. I personally would like to go for a second consult before deciding if my little one really needs a 'root canal'.

Before the members pounce on me for dental hygiene or too much sweets, we have been very prudent with brushing and sweets are special treats and not staple food. Only helpful comments please

From a worried mother....no one likes to see his/her little one go thru a medical procedure :-(

I used a great dentist in Gattikon with my daughter - he had to do major work as she had no enamel on her teeth. I received the bill and then sent it off to my health insurance company and got roughly half back ... Depends on your level of cover.
