My Swiss husband and I have been married over 1 year now and the subject of him inheriting the family house comes up. As i understand it, we ought to have an 'ehevertrag' - a marriage agreement/pre/post nuptial - in order for the paperwork to be more straightforward. Initially i was sceptical but now can see that such a contract also protects me in the event of something appening to my husband etc. I would like to know if anyone's experienced this situation and what should i take care to be covered for under this agreement wghen we eventually make it.
