still looking for a pediatrician in ZH kreis or so... in the meantime it has become quite urgent, since the kids have fallen ill.
I had a look at the recommended seefeld practice Müller/Schütze, the problem is that we don't have a car and it doesn't seem realistic to take two trams to reach it with a sick child...
so I have found these three practices which would be nearer for us:

dr Gallmann
dr Harcuba-Bavier
dr Kägi

can any mum (or dad) give me any feedback about these doctors? especially dr kägi makes a good impression from his website, but you never know... and I'd rather not "try around" too much before settling with a good one

I've heard of Dr. Gallmann. I know someone who goes there who's very happy with him.

I think he stood in for Müller/Schütze once, when we had an emergency, but can't remember exactly who it was.

thanks! in the meantime I keep receiving recommendations for müller/schütze, so I will try to make an appointment with them. I just hope the kids will never have an upset stomach or red spots capable of turning the two-tram trip into a nightmare

Drs Müller and Schütze have good telephone service - they will go through some questions with you on the phone first before making sure it's necessary to go in.

You can really go to Dr Gallmann too. He's fine, I've heard good things about him. He would certainly be my choice, as he is closer for us too, if we hadn't gone to the Schütze/Müller practice first.

We bring our daughter to Dr Gallman since she was born and we are quite happy with him.

I have an appointment tomorrow with doctor lévy in loewenstrasse but as an asthma specialist for my son. I don't think he would see us for a normal flu. anyone had any experience with doctor lévy?

since the kids are older I think we could, once the asthma is taken care of, simply all look for one family doctor, does anyone have a recommendation for that in zürich kreis 7 (or 1, city centre is also good)?

I've been using Kinderarztpraxis Roemerhof at Klosbachstrasse 111 right bei Roemerhof and am very happy with all the doctors there. They work very closely with the Kinderspital, so if ever you need a referral, you get it super fast.

thanks very much for your help everybody - we went yesterday to römerhof and we were quite happy.
they gave us the appointment within an hour (!) and were kind and welcoming. no stress at all, the doctor took his time and did a very exhaustive check up. one drawback: as it is a practice with 4 doctors, they told me they prefer it if you're flexible and don't insist on sticking to the same doctor. maybe this is not ideal with small children, but for older ones it's perfectly fine if it means you can make quicker appointments.

I also have used Kinderarztpraxis Römerhof for over four years now and have been very happy there, even starting out with an infant (who just turned 5!)

For myself, I go to Dr. Angela Caddick-she is English, and works in a practice just a few blocks from Stadelhofen and Bellevue. Her website is www.drangelacaddick.com . Also been quite happy with her, although luckily I have only had to see her for minor issues and general check-ups.
