Help to understand divorce procedure in CH

Dear people, I kindly need your help.
I would like to have knowledge about divorce process in Switzerland. My boyfriend is still married and lack of understanding the process makes me feel uncomfortable.
They are Germans residing here and do not have kids, the woman has boyfriend but doesn’t want to get divorced.

1) Does the marriage considers to be ineffective after two years of leaving in official separation (btw, it’s only starts when they live at separate addresses?)? Could it be taken into account that they lived together but already in separation?

2) By law does she get half of earned in marriage at the moment of start of official separation or at the end of the 2 years period?

3) Does he have to pay her (she earns less than him) monthly during these two years to support her? Even if she starts to live with her boyfriend?

4) Does he have to do that after divorce? For how long and how is it regulated?

I am just trying to understand why she wants to postpone it, she clearly doesn’t love him anymore and he is not willing to come back (pre-history is ommited), but she is definitely addicted to money.

5) Does she want more pension payments? Or she might hope that during these two years he will collect more money to share with her?

Please, I only ask for your opinion from the legal perspective, do not apply your personal judgement (having married bf, thinking about the money), since the situation is already quite complicated.

I would also highly appreciate referring to the law.
Thank you very much.

Jrspet, thank you very much. Seems that it can be a started point of my understanding.

Another question.

Does it also mean that German citizens (assuming German law allows) having their marriage registered in Germany may start the process in Germany and be divorced by German law? It says if the process is pending in the court abroad then Swiss court cannont take on the same matter.

We have a sister site in Germany, you might want to look up threads on there, such as this:
