Hi,
I am currently pregnant with my 2nd child (first child was born in Aus) and have been living in Switzerland for about 18 months now. I thought I would share my experiences with finding a gyneco for any expectant mothers like me.
There are quite a few reviews on bebe.ch about people's opinions on good/ok/don't-go-there gynecos in/around Neuchatel. The issue I was most worried about was getting an appointment anywhere as they all seemed to be crazily overbooked and the first availability is in 6 months time

.
A family friend organised a meeting with Dr Chabloz at Pourtales however he is so overbooked that we weren't able to find an appointment time that suited us both. Apparently he doesn't take new patients anyway.
So on the advice of his secretary, a friend and the bebe.ch forum I decided to try my luck at Dr. de Meuron.
To my surprise, the lovely ladies there offered my an appointment in 4 weeks time (at 9 weeks pregnant)

. I didn't really know what to expect at the first appointment as there isn't much information on the internet but he and his staff were great, very lovely, professional yet personal and very thorough. I was expecting a 5 min-fill in all your details kind of thing but instead I was there for at least 30 mins, ultrasound, gyno check, blood test, family history and how are you going/any questions consult. He is an older guy and knows his stuff, has a great sense of humour, speaks mostly in French but I believe he speaks English too and understands any questions in English. And we were told that they do the paperwork for birthing at Pourtales and we can choose to have him to do the delivery. Next appointment was 4 weeks later.
Good luck with anyone searching for a good gyneco/obstetrician. Check out people's opinions on bebe.ch and make up your own mind. I hope this helps some anxious mother-to-be out there!
