| | Stomach bugs... I hate them
My son, my baby and I all came down with a stomach bug... I'm alone with two sick kids, and sick myself... And I must breastfeed my baby girl as well, which requires even more energy...
I hate stomach bugs!!!

Poor you. Hope it passes quickly and you feel better soon. When we were ill, I covered munchkin's bed, our bed, the sofa etc with those Pampers bed mats. Then didn't have to worry about washing them when he threw up everywhere. Just put them in the bin and re-made the bed with another.

Me too, tummy bugs are the worst - down with it the last few days but am on the mend now.. the kids had it the week before.
Thankfully no babies in the house so I feel for you going through it with the wee-ones, and on your own too.
Hope you feel better soon | This user would like to thank for this useful post: | |

Sometimes I think that everyone having the bug at the same time is better because if it passes every 48 hours or so to someone else, it has the possibility of starting the cycle over again w/ the first person.
And though it is probably no consolation right now, at least you won't be deprived of family activity time for a week or so while each individual member gets ill on separate days.
Hope you and yours feel better soon! Remember BRAT diet when you are feeling up to eating something - bananas, rice, applesauce, toast.

Stomach bugs are awful- one minute you are fine, the next you are writhing on the ground and your whole middle section feels like it's turning inside out. When you have a stomach virus, eating solid food will only make the condition worse....you need to drink fluids, but they should be consumed slowly..Always wash your hands thoroughly and frequently... all the best...

Arrghh thinking of you Mélusine - hope you are all well again soon.
BTW I just love ferrets- so if ever you need somebody to look after them, plenty of space here, lol.

Hope you feel better soon Kids are terrific disease vectors with all the snot and such. I hadn't been sick for years before I had my daughter and then I'd get whatever was going around. It's never a good time, especially when you don't have any relief. Keep hydrated and try to get some rest. Pity you don't live closer, as I'd be happy to come give you a break and bring you some chicken soup.

I got gastro twice last year....one of the 'occupational hazards' of work...
it's not fun at all...and I don't succumb easily...
if it makes you any better I had to clean up after a 2 year old at work with diarrhoea who is learning to use the toilet....I was just glad he's not my child - at least I didn't have to clean the clothes (although I have to say, i would have probably just thrown them in the garbage bin than have to clean them)....
I swear, I'm worth at least double what I am paid, just for that... |
