| I've avoided this thread too!! The first page is full of "I had no problem losing the 6kilos I put on"
I have to wonder how true those posts are.
There are women who are BLESSED with fast metabolism, and a uterus that is placed far behind, therefore they almost do not show for the first 6 months.
I am 'blessed' with 2 anorexic sister-in-laws, that had flat tummies with 2month old babies. . But then again, they are 5&4 years younger than me, and I have noticed their eating habits, which is really so sad.
I would rather drink Milk, eat eggs, enjoy a well prepared meal, savour a well prepared steak (with sauce), and be content.
I would rather be the slightly overweight family member, but I'm happy. Food is important to me, especially good tasting food. There is enough time to lose the extra kilos. Being fit and healthy is more important than being a size 34 | |

I agree. Being fit, healthy and eating properly is important. I struggled with food and my weight through my teens and 20s. I was constantly ill and had bones sticking out. I would eat lots of junk food and had generally poor nutrition. A doctor finally made me get on the scales and I had hit 45kgs.
Within the first 3 months of pregnancy I dropped 2 clothes sizes - so I was thankful I was heavier before the pregnancy.
Weight loss after pregnancy wasn't a priority for me for the first year. Feeding and caring for my babies came first and that meant eating more to keep up milk production.
