Its great for calming the baby down....I really got into wearing my baby and he loves to sleep on me. A carrier is a great investment...

Reviving this thread - does anyone have experience of the Boba baby carrier for carrying an older child (15kgs/4 years old)?

We have the proper framed child back carrier but I put that on keel backwards almost immediately as it throws my sense of balance right out. I loved my Ergocarrier but sold it at Christmas because he was getting too big for it, but a friend in the US (who is taller than me) swears by her Boba carrier which do market themselves as being a toddler carrier for bigger children (although the latest version now accommodates younger children too).

Anyone used one of these?

THe shape across the top and the angles of the straps looks very similar to the ones I used to make for a LLL group years ago. And I was able to have my children in one of that style until they were over 4 yrs.

Next time you are in Basel, let me know and I can give you a diagram and measurents for the fabric needed - you would be able to sew one in under an hour. (fully lined)
