How did this thread jump from homeopathy to religion versus atheism?

It's like someone is asking where to find an orange, and people out of a sudden are saddling the horses, polishing the lances and opening the standards to go on a crusade because some believe the origin of the orange has to do with an entity and others think it simply came to be.

Homeopathy is not even specifically related to religion of any sorts.

If we are putting "faith" in the same bag as all "beliefs" you might as well be meeting at sunset to discuss whether the orange is really orange or actually blue.

OP asked a question. A considerate, complete, and arguably thread-ending post followed from a scientist (who provided plenty of articles and resources). Then the jokes and snark began, most of which came from the religious members of the forum. Behaviour they'd consider completely inconsiderate and unacceptable coming from non-believers in a "I'm looking for a ____ church in ____" thread. I thought this was ironic and hilarious, so I pointed it out. Rest is history. HTH.

We've had the same discussion umpteen times (every single time someone's asked for a homeopathic doctor, in fact) and there's no sign that anybody's any closer to changing their views. Everyone's welcome to carry on anyway though, on the appropriate thread.
