Re: Obgyn? Help!

While I can't recommend anyone in particular, if you start with the clinic at the local hospital, you should be able to find someone:

In my experience, every doctor I've ever met at the hospital here in Basel speaks perfect English (and usually perfect French as well), so you can be fairly confident in finding an English-speaker. Receptionists and nurses are more of a mixed bag, some speaking English and some not.

Re: Obgyn? Help!

Hello, Welcome to the forum and congratulations!

Dont be scared- millions of couples before you have gone through this process, and if we are lucky, will continue to do this for years to come.

You will be more than fine, and remember- family/friends are only a phone-call away.

Bugger the 12 week rule- my sister knows everything about everything- unfortunately she knows this too

Be careful in the information from the web that you choose to believe- remember anyone can post anything, it doesn't have to be true.

There seem to be 3 doctors in Buchs, SG.

Maybe you could take the courage to walk up to a stranger with a baby, in your village, and ask them their opinion? They may be your new best friend. Else call the docs- not all doctors take new patients though- its just the way it is here..

If you're hitting the Toilet-bowl-worshiping phase, remember that it is temporary. Take small, frequent meals.

Enjoy It is the only time and place where two people can be in the same place at the same time (pregnancy)
