Lasik Eye Surgery Bern

Hello, I'm currently in the UK and I've just been to a laser eye surgery consultation. Unfortunately I am only suitable for Lasik with Wavefront Technology which I am lead to believe is the more expensive one. (I was quoted £3585- I wouldn't mind paying a bit more.) I'm due to move back to England in June 2013 so I don't know whether to have it done in Switzerland or have it done when I move back.
Has anyone had this procedure done in Switzerland?
How many follow ups did you need to go back too?

You might check out the Berner augenklinik at the lindenhofspital. It's a group practice of several ophthalmologists. I don't know if they do lasik specifically, but the docs are great - they repaired my husband's retina and redid his cataract.

Hi Katie. I had blended lasik laser eye surgery done at KV Santé Vision in Lausanne, after having been refused it twice in the UK (they said my eyes were too try - the Swiss said no such thing!). It cost 1,800 chf per eye as there is a deal with my health insurance provider (Groupe Mutuel). I had check ups the next day, after one week, one month and six months. If you are concerned, I am sure you can request a check up once you are back in the UK - these are not National Health services after all. See www.myeyebook.co.uk. All the best if you go ahead!
