Taking time off work for accident, paid 100%?

If you have an accident at work and are told by the doctor to stay at home then do you:

get paid normally (100%) as if you were at work, and your employer can claim from their insurance?

get paid nothing from your employer for days off and claim some percentage of what you would be paid for those days by your employers insurance?

You get paid normally.

I had to take two weeks off once following surgery to remove a bursitis above my knee that was the result of a non-work related accident.

Re: Taking time off work for accident, paid 100%?

Depends on how long you are out, any conditions in your contract or office rules, and whether your employer has taken out special insurance to cover you/them for lost work compensation due to illness (forgot the official name for it in French/German). Generally for short periods there is no problem and you get paid normally, if long term illness it depends on the insurance, but typically 80%.
