And if you do get a D & C instead, I suggest that you ask them to put you to sleep for it, if possible. That way, you won't remember it.
Really good point about the emotional impact of it. But do keep in mind that one reason people often get twilight anesthesia instead of general is that general carries more risks.

Re: Medically Managed Miscarriage

I am sorry for your situation. What happened is a non-evoluting pregnancy. It means the embryo is not alive anymore.
In this case even if abortion is illegal here (not sure sorry), this would not be illegal as there is no live embryo anymore.
SOrry for the crude words, about your question, I think you might have to spend the night at the hospital anyways, I think this should have been explained to you.

Hugs

Re: Medically Managed Miscarriage

I think most has been covered, but wanted to add, that in my experience, the recommended procedure mostly has to do with how far along the pregnancy was/size of embreyo. The chemical way is less invasive and often very effective for an early pregnancy, however if several months along the best or only alternative will likely be D&C or D&E.

Re: Medically Managed Miscarriage

I just sent you a private message explaining what happened to me. I hope you will read it soon. Pls, don't use that pill and go to the hospital, they will take good care of you.

All my good thoughts are with you.
