Interesting method.

Are you perhaps planning to sell some material on this topic?

Such as? :P I would be the worst seller ever.

the most effective way is reducing the amount of cigarattes day by day to the level where you will get no withdrawal symptoms. Good Luck
Actually that's a pretty bad way as it's easy to have a bad week and go back to the level you were at before.

More successful ways are:

Nicotine replacement therapy
Varenicline (Champix)
Bupropion (Zyban)

People are different, as do their life situations - there's no single "best" way.

Right, worldofmelisa, never mind if it worked for you. Start smoking again and then use a statistically-proven better way, will 'ya!

Look at the thread title. Then look at it again. Slowly.

Have you helped answer that question in any of your posts or do you just
get pleasure on this forum from having a dig at me?

Statistics statistics.....

Tom, we're all different and what works for me won't necessarily work for you !

There is no good or bad way, it's what rocks your boat and motivates you to stop, what gets your will power to kick in is important, the rest are just aids to help

Yes I know. But the poster did say it was the most effective way which simply isn't true - even if it did work for her.

I took the piss on a ridiculous post. I don't give a hoot who wrote it. So sorry, the attention was not on you.

BUT: To make sure, you managed to follow it up with an even worse one?

This time I did notice and came to the conclusion: You are something else!

If I wanted to join you bunch of pedants - I would have to ask the poster what else she has tried.

The most effective way for her suggests she has tried other methods.

So what were the methods that failed?

Thank you for sharing.

That is interesting and goes against the trend.

Although what you posted is a direct copy/ paste of what I posted earlier...

And yes I have to keep telling myself how much I dislike it in order to not start again. Its self brainwashing.
