| | Re: Smoking. How to quit? | Quote: | | | | | Actually that's a pretty bad way as it's easy to have a bad week and go back to the level you were at before.
More successful ways are:
Nicotine replacement therapy
Varenicline (Champix)
Bupropion (Zyban) | | | | |
Also cytisine (manufactured by Sopharma as Tabex and by Aflofarm Pharma as Desmoxan). This has been used for decades in Eastern Europe for smoking cessation. http://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056...7764#t=article | This user would like to thank Dayman for this useful post: | |

Some strange people out there. | | | | | Who was it? That is a bit too much I would say, but not worse than other things here.
I decided to make up for your loss, lol. All your greens restored now.
Some tips on this site too http://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-li...g/art-20045454 http://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-li...p/art-20048737
I find their site very helpful, in general. Re. helping a smoker to quit, this is also an informative site https://www.cancer.org/healthy/stay-...oker-quit.html
The article above is meant to give some tips to those who want to help someone quit smoking, but it seems is only costumed for family members and close friends. However, I found some advices generally valid, but of course the support of a life partner or family members is invaluable. I think it is much more difficult for someone who is single, already fighting depression etc etc Worth reading it though.

For me the electronic cigarette worked. And I was a heavy smoker (20 cigs per day). as long as I had the e-cig at hand I wasn't tented to smoke cigarettes. But after a while i quit even with the e-cig.
