Hi Ladies,

I moved to Zurich about one year ago and would like to find an OB/GYN who speaks English near the Zurich area. I have looked on a few past treads but some of the information seems pretty dated.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I am flexible with male or female, I just need an English speaker!

Looking for English speaking Obstetrician / Gynaecologist in Zurich area

A bit late on this reply but I have been to the practice http://www.singer.ch/aktuelle.php in Kusnacht--across from the Kusnacht train station.

They have been very nice and everyone from the front desk to the lab to the doctor all speak perfect English. They don't even make me feel bad about my lack of German. : ) Highly recommend.

I just came back from my appointment with Fabrice Buff, and I highly recommend him!
He speaks English, German, French and Italian, as does his secretary!

Perhaps it's a little out of your way, but I highly recommend Dr Dan Rauch in Luzern: http://www.frauenarztpraxisluzern.ch/

The reason my wife and I found him is that her previous ob/gyn was useless. (I won't name names...) Dr Rauch has been brilliant. Replies to her emails. Easy-going. Warm. Practical. Excellent English.

Just wanted to share the news, given that this is often a pretty difficult time in people's lives... Wishing you all the very best.

Maybe a silly question, but do you want a doctor for pregnancy/birth or a gynecological doctor? Some gynaecologists do not do births, and I can recommend one for women's health who had her rooms at Triemli hospital...

I am currently pregnant and go to Dr. Singer/Dr. Bender in Zurich. I am so comfortable and well taken care of there. Everyone in the office knows how to speak English and are really friendly. Any time I call with concerns they are very helpful and respectful. I never feel like any of my concerns or questions are stupid. They make you feel comfortable and at ease. I love how organized, clean, professional, knowledgeable and friendly they are.

I will third the recommendation for Dr. Singer's Gyne am See in Küsnacht. I see Dr. Stirner there and am very happy with the care she provides.

Based on my personal experience, I do not recommend Dr. Singer and Dr. Lang's clinic, and suggest to head to Spital Zollikerberg for good care.

I recently moved to Zurich in my third trimester of pregnancy, and I've been wowed by the great OB experiences I've had so far.

I'm seeing Dr. Jochen Eichler for my general pregnancy needs in the Zurich Oberstrass (office directly next to Seilbahn Rigiblick). I picked his practice because it was one of the few I saw with a great, comprehensive English website. http://www.frauenarzt-dr-eichler.ch/

He's thorough, kind, and both he and his staff speak perfect English. The practice feels very different than my American OB, where everything seems rushed.

Dr. Eichler referred me out to Prof. Dr. Boris Tutschek for a fetal doppler echo. Dr. Tutschek was also really thorough and easy to work with. He gave us a lot of detail about our baby, her heart (which looked fine!), and medical research and findings relevant to my pregnancy. His staff spoke English pretty well, but not as fluently as Dr. Eichler's. http://praenatal-zuerich.ch/

I'd highly recommend either doctor.
