Quinoderm (acne cream from UK) Substitute in CH?

Ever since I was about 14, I've been using Quinoderm daily as a treatment to keep oily skin and spots under control. Normally I pick up a supply from the UK when I go home but I've miscalculated and need to get hold of some.

Does anyone else know of Quinoderm and have you found a suitable replacement over here (or indeed has anyone found any stockists of Quinoderm?)

I've heard Dermabol Cream is supposed to be quite good but have found no info on it.

I'm in Zurich.

Cheers

Express Chemist delivers to Switzerland, at least they did about two years ago. If you want something with benzol peroxide, La Roche Posay's Effaclar range has some products with it. Have you considered doing a course of Accutane? Many people are spot free for the rest of their lives after just one round. That would be a job for a dermatologist and would depend on how bad your acne is. If you want a good dermatologist, I can recommend Barbara Theler who works in Zurich Oerlikon, she speaks English and is very nice.

Thank you for this response!

It's not serious enough, thankfully, to require anything along the lines of treatments from dermatologists, but I'm just...probably addicted to using Quinoderm. I know that as long as I apply it, I am relatively spot free (barring chocolate binges!).

Maybe I'll have a look at the range you suggest.

You could try Cleance K from Avene. it is very good for skin with light acne and spots.

I had a quick look and it seems to be listed with SwissMedic and is distributed in CH.

I suggest you go to the pharmacy and ask if they have it or can order it.

It is supposedly distributed by Vifor SA but I could not find it on their website.

Here is the list of the equivalent products (and Quinoderm). You could print it and take it with you to the pharmacy. They should have one of the products.
