recommended Urologist ...

for those who might need one. I live in Zurich and struggled to find a competent Urologist that is also motivated and correctly follow up on the problem. I could not find such Urologist in Zurich (after researching, visiting couple of them and wasting more than thousand CHF) but in Basel. I really recommend Dr. med. Passera from the Claraspital in Basel. After each visit I received all the exam results and follow up diagnosis. AAAAA++++

Re: recommended Urologist ...

I've recently been seeing Dr Deckhart, Aeschenvorstadt 52, 4051 Basel (Bankverein tramstop). I'd just like to recommend his practice on this thread.

Two weeks ago, he and his staff gave up 30 minutes of their lunch hour for an urgent cystoscopy (nothing serious found, thankfully). This morning I had some alarming symptoms, and he saw me this afternoon. He'd been in surgery from 7-12am (single operation) this morning, so was pretty knackered. But once again, it could have been very serious. (It wasn't! ).

Anyway, he and his staff have treated me with care and kindness, and are very concerned about maintaining patient dignity.

He's also identified the cause of a problem that's been bugging me for years - so technically, I think he's pretty (ahem) on the ball.

He and one of his praxis nurses speak English. The other nurse doesn't but she took blood today and I didn't even feel the needle go in.
