On one hand we are in the technologically most advanced period ever and yet our leaders are morons, we have anti-vaxxers, homeopathics, religious wars, sjws etc. These are strange times. I wonder where this will end.

Makes me so angry that folk decide not to vaccinate. Such recklessness. I don't understand it.

More likely to die from measles because of non-vaccination before becoming old enough to get dementia is how I understood this.

For me I don't really care whether a non-vaccinated person dies from a complication resulting from measles. Their choice.

The problem for me is when they, or their children get measles and pass it on to a child with, for example, cancer who is having chemotherapy and has absolutely no immune system.
Or a baby gets it.
Or a pregnant woman gets it and miscarriages.

Why can't people see the bigger picture?

The same argument (perhaps expressed a little differently ) is used for smoking protecting against Alzheimer's disease. Why don't the cigarette manufacturers put that on their packs, instead of those gruesome photos of ravaged body parts?

So actually "live fast, die young" is the most healthy lifestyle possible.
