Upper cervical or sports chiropractor in Zurich?

Hi all,

I've searched the forums and found some recommendations for chiropractors, but I am looking specifically for chiropractors who do more upper cervical adjustments (they work much better for me) and haven't seen that anywhere yet. I also need a chiropractor who is good with sports-related adjustments and advice, particularly for knee-related problems. I thought before I call around everywhere, I could ask and see if anyone has any specific suggestions for places to go... and since I am on a student health care plan and they limit the number of chiropractic consultations (not regular appointments) I can have, it would be good for me to start somewhere with a higher chance of working out!

Thanks very much .

Re: Upper cervical or sports chiropractor in Zurich?

For anyone wishing to visit a chiropractor in Zurich please be careful. I visited a guy in Wallisellen on Neugutstrasse for a bad back, after he treated me for this he decided without saying a word to me that one of my legs was shorter than the other. He then used what is called the Thompson technique , using a drop table which raises part of your body up and then drops it rapidly. This was on March 10th 2014 and I have been in pain ever since. He also sent me a bill although I had written to him explaining what had happened, and when I decided to just go and see him he called the police. In Oerlikon they quite casually took an X-Ray and charged over 200 francs for it. It seemed to me that they might have certificates all over their walls from the USA and Canada, and delight in calling themselves Dr but were suffering from extreme hubris which is ok until they get it wrong. I have been unlucky I know but I wish I had just waited and gone in England (I know they are not all perfect there).

I visited this guy in Zurich for a long running shoulder problem and found him to be very competent.

He's a good listener, speaks perfect English and a real nice guy.
