What they're called here i guess depends on what they were called in England ?!? Are they're not various brands? Like Alli ?

You can also order from UK with sites like chemistdirect.co.uk

Those that work are amphetamin-based and forbidden in Switzerland.

They make you lose weight. But they also destroy your body and make you addicted.

Alli and co work by preventing you from digesting fat properly. It's known to give you sudden and impossible to control bouts of diarrhea. And if you're overweight because you eat too much sweet things it won't do anything.

Re: Diet pills

I want to lose weight?
Eat less and exercise more. If calories in is less than calories out then you will lose weight

But I want to continue big chocolate cakes?
You will need to exercise a lot

But I don't like exercise.
Don't eat big cakes then

I want a shortcut to get thin!
There is no shortcut to get thin - assuming thin = healthy - which it doesn't. Eat less, exercise more

It is a genetic problem!
Genetically you have been given hands with pick up food and put into your genetic mouth

I have big bones
No you don't, your bones are give or take the same size. You eat too much and don't exercise enough

I talked to my doctor at home and he said I should get surgery?
I would recommend amputation of your hands. This will stop you picking up food and putting it your mouth

You're not being very nice
I am being truthful. Sometimes the truth hurts. But don't worry, eat a chocolate cake, that will make you feel better

i have now read your odd posts that pop up and i feel terrible sorry for you.
you hide behind a screen and are mean and nasty.
i would love to see you speak like this face to face. i would bet good money that you would mind your p's and q's then.
does it make you feel like a bigger, better person to speak this way to others?
do you speak to your parents this way? to your spouse? to your children?
im sure you will have some wonderful words of wisdom for us all, i cant wait....

Diet pills

If you're diabetic, take a list of your drugs to your doctors here.

They will prescribe based on what's available in Switzerland. Most of the same drugs as in the UK, i imagine. Lots of times when you goggle a brand name drug, you'll find the name used in different countries.

Re: Diet pills

Pretty much all diabetic drugs are prescription only, as are test strips for glucose testing. If you take the list - even the uk list - the new doc may know the swiss equivalent.

Re: Diet pills

So to resume:
  • Here we have someone who is asking for help.
  • Wants diet pills but doesn't know the name of them. Just needs "ones that work".
  • Needs them for diabetes, which may be Type 2, or Type 1, or no diabetes at all. Appetite suppressants, or "diet pills" are never used for treating diabetes, of any type.
  • The pills are prescribed by her doctor, but she needs them OTC, even though she doesn't seem to understand what OTC is.
  • On this forum, there are many non-English speakers, and we are all tolerant of their language mistakes. However, the OP claims to be English, yet can't string two words of the language together coherently. Those old chestnuts of "it's my phone" or "I'm not good at spelling" are losing any credibility they may have had.
  • Manages to roundly insult those who are trying to help her.

  • What's not to like????

As mentioned before, you can be British and use the language terribly, we refer to this breed of Brits as Chavs.....

If she just wants a shag she could either post on Glocals or be up front and say so.

All this beating around the bush (or not as the case may be ) is awfully tiring

I am quite amazed at how the forum lets this sort of bullying continue.
You all carry on, I'm sure it's what makes your world spin.
