I am chaitra pallavi from India. we are relocating ourselves to Basel, myself, my husband and my 4 year old son. i did a bit of browsing and saw some informative posts on this site, hence became a member.

we plan to come to basel during the month of may this year. i am looking for information about local kindergarten schools in and around Basel for my son. it would be helpful if somebody could suggest good kindergarten schools teaching in English medium of language. i have some more related questions:

- What would be basic fee structure for local kindergarten schools (have got information about international school on net)

- My son has finished Preschool year 1 in India, and is comfortable with English and Indian local languages, does local kindergarten schools at Basel address kids coming from different countries.

- Is there are kindergarten school in Basel run by Indian's or Indian students studying

When we first arrived in Switzerland we were also looking for English speaking and eventually sent the children to Tiny Tots. Check out www.tinytots.ch The fee structure etc is available on the site.

In addition if you were prepared to go bilingual check out the following site. http://www.playintheusa.org/kita/kita.htm I am not sure on their repuation for pre school but have friends who have used them for Summer School and think they are great.
