I need help (very bad situation)

I have been visiting this forum for a while and found it very useful so I hope that I can get some tips to help me sorting out a bad situating I'm put in.

I am from Syria and I got married to a Lebanese man who lives in Switzerland (has the C permit). We got married in 2012 in Egypt because the situation in Syria wasn't really helpful for such a thing. I moved here and brought my son with me (who is 18). First he made me come here as a refugee then he later confirmed our marriage here so that I could move in and with that the migration office would be supposed to give me the B permit. When I was about to get the B permit the migration office asked for his income and other financial details, then I thought that there was something wrong going on so I asked my husband to hire a lawyer so that we could get done faster and the lawyer would inform us about things that we are not aware of. He told me that he hired a lawyer but then after 1 year and a half nothing changed and I found out that he never hired a lawyer. After that the migration office mailed him saying that he no longer can stay in Switzerland and the C permit will be taken away from him. He never told me what was going on or why this was happening so one day he went to work and I translated the mail that he received from the migration and I discover everything that he hid from me. I found out that there were so many bills that he never paid and that he has gotten a huge amount of loan that was due and that he sometimes stole money from people and more than that he wasn't paying any taxes (He owns a company) plus I found bills from my son's school and a letter that says that my son would be no longer able to go to school if he doesn't pay by the end of that mouth. The worst thing ever was when I found out that he was cheating on me too with more than one mistress. After that I told him that I want to divorce, he tried so hard not to divorce but of course I could never be convinced after all what happened. So he moved me to a small apartment with my son and promised me that he will pay the monthly rental of this apartment and that he is going to set up everything for the divorce plus he asked me that when the judge asks me for the reason of why I want to divorce, I would have to say that it is just that we are not comparable and we can't live together. Now of course I don't trust this man nor anything he says so please, I want someone to advise me about what I'm supposed to do because I know nothing about the law in Switzerland, I've been here since two years but he never let me contact with people or learn German.

If you can afford a lawyer, you should see one very soon, and find out your options. Maybe you will have to go back to Syria. Maybe you can apply here for asylum?

Re: I need help (very bad situation)

There is a migrant women's advice service in Zurich, I would definitely try to make contact with them as soon as possible.

Please know that you are not alone.... And that you can find help...

I will find the links and post them here for you....

Re: I need help (very bad situation)

Ok. This thread has lots of women's advice services. But they are mostly domestic violence related. However, I am sure if you phoned them, they will tell you what other services you could contact.

Where to go when you need help - links & contact numbers

Re: I need help (very bad situation)

This link includes the refugee advice and legal services.

http://www.humanrights.ch/en/Useful-...ses/index.html

In your case, it may well be best to start with the refugee situation as that is how you originally entered the country, and in the current situation I doubt it will be possible for you to go back home.

http://www.humanrights.ch/en/Useful-...ses/index.html

Do you have an income at all? Emergency savings? Work? Profession?

Your son is 18, so it would be assumed that your best option would be to try to find employment or education to be able to work and find your independence.

I would also suggest your local 'gemeinschaftzentrum' (community centre), your doctor, your son's school, the local town hall, to ask for help. If you speak English or French, but not German, you should still be able to find people who are able to understand and willing to help.

Do you know anyone within your community who will help you, who is able to translate for you?

While you are married to him you are also responsible for his debts.

This is not true if the debts where made before the marriage and also if the spouse hasn't any money.

Thank you very much for the respond I really appreciate that.

No I don't have a job here nor emergency savings I spent everything I had on my sons school (international school which is expansive) but now my brother sends me money almost every month to pay my sons school bills. In syria I was a physical education teacher plus I am a beautician.

Unfortunately I don't know anyone the would be down to go with me and help, all the people I know are from my husbands circle and there is noway that they would help me to find my way away from him.

Re: I need help (very bad situation)

I think then in that case it would be a good idea to try the women's services in that link.

The migrant advice service in Zurich is called 'infodona'.
They are a government service.

Re: I need help (very bad situation)

This link explains the infodona service and gives the opening hours and telephone number.
https://www.stadt-zuerich.ch/sd/de/i...sh.secure.html

I would also suggest that you change your profile to remove your identifying information. Anything you put here on the forum is public and it would be very easy for someone known to your husband to identify you from what you have put here.

You've quoted the previous username so you should change that too.
