Kindergarten to Daycare transport

Hello everyone. We have the possibility for my daughter to continue going to her day care once she starts Kindergarten, but she needs to have someone pick her up and walk her to the day care since it's not very close and crosses a major street.

What do most people do in these cases? The day care doesn't have anyone set up at the moment to do this. The town doesn't have any child transport set up either (although there used to be a child taxi in the past). I don't know what the options are except friends/acquaintances/neighbors. Looking for suggestions or experiences of other people. Thanks.

Re: Kindergarten to Daycare transport

Do you know if there will be other kids in a similar situation?

Re: Kindergarten to Daycare transport

I don't know how far apart the kindergarten and daycare are, but you could try to find another mother at the Kindergarten who might be willing to bring your child to the daycare (maybe there is someone who lives close to the daycare). Perhaps there is even some kind of bulletin board at the kindergarten where you could post a notice.

My other suggestion is to consider putting your child in the care of a Tagesmutter that is near the kindergarten (and can pick your child up from there), instead of having the child in a daycare.

Good luck!
