Hi

We are interested in sending our kids to the International School in Lausanne and were hoping for some more information about the school itself (well a lot of info actually) if anyone can help . Would be looking for the eldest to Start in September when she will be 3 yrs 4 mths .

What information is it that your looking for?
The School does have a website isl.ch which will help you and if you have any other enquires please feel free to ask.

Basically I have heard conflicting stories some people say it's a terrible school others that it is wonderful . The onlt real way to find out is from people like yourself who have kids there already

Could you recommend a couple of areas, convenient to the school, or where other school families live that we can focus our house search on? I know there is a bus system set up but we like to live close to the school if possible?

I think families live all over Lausanne in general but to be close to the School i would look at Epalinges...which is where i live and Le Mont which is where the school is situated.I know it is difficult to plan the best, ideal places but really anywhere in Lausanne is not going to be difficult for you.I do not drive here so we have always used the local transport which i might add is second to none!We initially lived in the centre of Lausanne for three years when the School was in Pully and then we moved higher not because of the School moving but felt we wanted to be more away from the City.

Having read your previous posts i thought i might also mention that one of my Daughters is Dyslexic and has come along in leaps and bounds since being at the ISL.(actually one of the reasons why we have stuck it out here)
