Morning Sickness (a Newbie in Zurich)

Really struggling at the moment - we are almost 12 weeks and i have had the most horendus morning sickness. I have barely been able to leave the house, just to get some groceries, each day.
I was nervous about moving anyway and found it really lonely as i can't go out and make friends and am not working . Can anyone offer any advice, or another mummies to be suffering with morning sickness ? i am hoping the morning sickness will be gone in a few weeks x

Re: Morning Sickness (a Newbie in Zurich)

That's awful you poor thing, hopefully the morning sickness will pass soon. I'm currently 18 weeks pregnant, but never had much morning sickness.

I've also recently moved to Zürich, I think it's hard getting to know people when you don't speak the language (although maybe you do) and I can imagine feeling sick all the time just makes it worse.

I can't really offer advice, but I'm willing to meet up if you like. I was quite overwhelmed when I moved here with the pregnancy on top of all the other changes.

PM me if you'd like to meet up
Claudia

The only thing that worked for me was sipping diet coke. Hope you feel better soon.

Nibbling dried almonds worked for me.

Nibbling anything helped me. The trick is to eat stuff that tastes about the same getting up and down...

Bland cookies and coke were great for me.

Saltine crackers and flat ginger ale. Lived on those two things from week 8 to week 14.

A friend of mine suffered really strong nausea for the first 16 weeks of her pregnancy and sucking on lemon slices did the trick for her when she was really rough. But you could also try a homemade ginger and lemon tea with fresh ginger and lemon...might be more appetising than straight lemon. Good luck with finding something that will work for you!
