Vaccines for India

Hello all!
I've got a new job in India for 5 months teaching in the Hyderabad area so will be moving back to England in the middle of July before heading out to India for the first week of August. I was looking up information about the vaccines you need and realised that I need to start getting some 2 months before I go... I dont really know which ones I actually need, but my biggest question is where can I get them from here in Switzerland? (im in Solothurn but don't mind travelling) I'm not registered with a doctor too. Would it be more cost effective to go back to England and get a them there one weekend?
Thanks for your help!

Re: Vaccines for India

I'm pretty certain that it is not possible to have the entire bunch of stuff done in one go. Some may need more that one injection and others might not be done together.

I suggest you get digging on the Internet right now. I googled a mixture of words (tropical inpfungen solothurn) and got this

If you cannot cope with German, you could try this one

Re: Vaccines for India

I recently had some vaccines for a trip abroad I am taking soon.

I phoned up my medical insurance who made me a telephone appointment with a person who specialized in overseas travel.

They were able to advise me on what I needed and where to get the vaccinations done (I don't have a house doctor either). They also sent me through a lot of information about the countries that I am travelling to which was useful.

But I would look into this soon rather than later and if you have a list of the vaccines that you have had in the past this would help a great deal.

Hope this helps!

Quite honestly I'm pretty certain that it is not possible to have the entire bunch of stuff done in one go. Some may need more that one injection and others might not be done together.
This is true and also having several injections might make you feel pretty ill as your immune system will be in overdrive so if you need a lot of vaccinations it might be better to take them over a period of time to allow your body to recover.
