Periodontist Zurich

Hi all,

Having some long ongoing problems with what I suspect is some variant of periodontitis. I am already using a regular dentist but seem to get nowhere.

I already Googled - and have some names. But I wonder if anyone used a periodontal specialist they can recommend. The EF search turns up one thread for periodontist in Geneva.

English speaking would be a nice to have though in my experience most are English speaking.

Cheers,
Nick

Re: Periodontist Zurich

After visiting the dental clinic at Bern university hospital, they recommended buying the small brushes sold in the Coop, about one inch long. With these you can clean between your teeth easily and stimulate the gums, sold in a box of about 6 or 8. There is also a long holder for the brush, but I didn't get on with that very well.

But don't take my word for this without getting "22 yards' moderator" approval for medical matters.

Have you used this place recently for peridontal treatment?

Only know them here in Bern where my dentist, a well-known periodontist, Dr. Mettraux, merged his practice with them last year. I have since had only very positive experience with Swiss Smile. Competent dentistry in all aspects, the latest equipment, material and methods, etc. I would advise going to them in Zurich for an assessment of your needs and then make up your mind.

Re: Periodontist Zurich

Hi Nick,
I'm in a similar situation, needing a Periodontist in Zurich.
Did you managed to find one and how was it?

Many thanks.
