Kesb & mmi

I am hoping to meet with people (men or women) who have been through the KESB and MMI experience.
I hope we can share our experiences, and learn.

Re: Kesb & mmi

I think you are perhaps mistaken, rainer_d, at least not with regard to Nettles' personal story. Nettles' experience with KESB was as an adult who took ill, and the KESB took over his/her affairs during that time.

Davidinzurich's question, on the other hand, is about KESB with regard to children (hence MMI = Marie Meierhofer Institut für das Kind).

One of the MMI's services is to facilitate contact between estranged parents and children, or to make it possible for a parent (or a child) who is potentially dangerous (or so perceived) to see his/her children (or parents) anyway, i.e. the MMI provides accompaniment by professionals, in the hope that everyone can stay safe.

This is because it is deemed better for a real child to be able to see the real mother, and the real father, even if they are problematic, than for anyone to build up an inner phantom of the absent parent (or child).

Even so, Davidinzurich, on Nettles' thread there are some links to other people dealing with KESB.
