Orthodontic Treatment in Germany

hello! its me again, here with a question that ive already put into google...with no avail; so no unhelpful "try google' comments PLEASE.

does anyone know how much top and bottom teeth braces cost in germany? approx/roughly. i KNOW ill need a consultation etc.

in the UK youre looking at 2800 for the entire treatment (inc appointments) for 12-18 months.

i live in zurich and cannot afford...at all...the swiss orthodontics; so thought crossing the boarder to get my teeth sorted in konstanz would be a good call.

does anyone have experience with this personally?
and would my swiss health insurance contribute at all?

THANKS!

My wife is having 2 implants in Waldshut (Dorow clinic).
they look very much competent and rigorous.
she had also some treatments there and prices are, of course, much cheaper than the swiss ones.
they speak English too, more important.
i would recommend it

Hi, it's been a while since the conversation in this thread. Has anyone of you actually been to this great orthodontist in Germany and can confirm the service there is good. I will be forever grateful. Cheers.

Hi Amy
Did you find an orthodontist? I'm looking for one too you see

You said UK costs 3k. Actually I was looking around London and it costs 4k plus 200 for every visit

Please let me know what the other OT other lady proposed via private message and others you decide to go with?

Thanks

Those London prices put Swiss prices into perspective. I've been quoted CHF 9800 all in - including preparatory work, moulds etc. and appointments every 6-8 weeks - over 18-24 months for Invisalign and additional (invisible) metalwork to do a proper job/make space for the Invisalign movements.

Also check your Krankenkasse - some supplementary insurance will pay for up to 80% of the costs up to a maximum payout of 10k.

Granted I'm not in central Zurich....

I went to see an orthodontist in Zug. At the moment I'm waiting for a quote for the Invisalign treatment. The friendly doctor said it's going to be nowhere near the prices that were mentioned in the thread. Well...we shall see....I will keep you posted.

I'm also interested in finding a reliable orthodontist and surgeon in Germany. I need gum graft which I couldn't start in US due to timing. But I'm due for the work and have all supporting paperwork and pictures and a jaw/bone scan.
Any good references in Basel area or along the northern Swiss border would be very much appreciated.

Since this thread is still alive... seems we'll have to be getting top and bottom braces for my son next year, so if anyone has recommendations for anyone in Konstanz or Singen or anywhere around there, I'd be most appreciative :)
