Indeed being -alone- for a while is what I need as I find the post shock-waves difficult to deal with at times.

I just got a stern letter from the court via my lawyer about not having complied with the judgement, more specifically not having transferred part of my pension to my -ex-. (along with a judgement to my pension fund directly which is not going to help either)

I had spent a complete afternoon translating the judgement line by line, map it all out and any actions I needed to do.

Of course I did this but as my -ex- took another job at the beginning of 2018 the funds details are not correct in the judgement(well this has gone on so long it is no surprise, even the glaciers have moved faster)

Icing on the cake is my lawyer is going to send me a bill for just informing me

This along with a stressful job where I feel everyone is demanding something from me every five minutes makes it hard to not go and buy some alcohol and or junk food to try and calm me down.

Alas I have realized that it is just harming me if I do that

I finish in just over an hour, will have a cat-nap and then go for a swim in the river.
The best thing you can do for extreme stress like you are experiencing is to go out and do as much sports and exercise, and then get as much sleep, as you can. Finding faux-solace in alcohol and junk food on a regular basis is only for the weak-willed and will only increase your angst. Maintaining a strong sense of discipline in these kinds of trying situations, whatever they may be in life, is essential. A strong body and a strong mind can more easily face and deal with tough challenges, that's a fact.

Maybe flying solo is what OP really needs for the time being....

And why should he btw? If he finds someone else they can just live together.

OH and I got married when we decided to have children, have a family. As you can see from other people's experiences, that piece of paper alone won't keep you together.
I was clearly joking, last thing Magic needs is a wife who will magically make his remaining money disappear too

Magic, stay away from both. That is the last thing you need. Better times will come but you need to be ready for those better times and not arrive broken. Mountain house is waiting for you

I would bounce about to ACDC and Metallica, on so loud that the windows would shake in the house. And then I'd sit in complete quiet with the dog or the cats, doing nothing but watching them and feeling their adoring love. If I was at work, I'd sneak a peek at cute kitten clips on YouTube!

And that would calm my anger and pain so that I could go on and function "normally" for another hour or day or however long it lasted.

Agree 100% ... I have two kitty cats and they are fantastic ...

I see someone just scheduled a meeting at 10pm tonight I know the people in the USA will be fine with that but , they have to be kidding, apparently hard to find any other time ... I am going to be asleep by then.

I am going to be out the door in five minutes for my swim, it is the thing I love about nature is the ability to just disconnect
