Alimony

Hello friends
My husband and I have been legally separated on 28.11.2018. He paid alimony on 30.11.2018 from which it was agreed that he deduct the amount required to pay our Krankenkasse for December 2018 as it was still on his name. Then in January I pay it myself as the account by then is on my name. My husband instead paid the invoice for november and not December. He says that the alimony paid on 30.11.2018 was for november and not december. So now for january im stuck to pay 2 invoices with 1 payment. Im confused. Please advise if the alimony is paid at the end of the month or the beginning of the month. Thank you

Re: Alimony

Alimony is paid whenever you agree to pay it, unless a judge makes a specific orderówhich does not seem to be the case here, is that right? Note though that any payments your spouse makes to you before the actual divorce technically aren't alimony.

If you separated almost at the end of November, your husband would not have paid much for Novemberójust 2/30 of a full month (pro rated). If he paid you a lot more than that (15 times more) on 30 November, then he is paying monthly in advance.

You said the health insurance went into your name only in January. Under your agreement, shouldn't your husband then be paying the premium for November and December? Maybe you should ask him to pay the December premium directly.

Re: Alimony

What period is the alimony for? If it's also for November the whole thing (the way he presents it) is coherent. Not necessarily correct, that depends on your agreement, but coherent.
