Can you provide a bit more information? Do you mean you'd like to come here as a tourist for medical treatment? |

Hi, 3Wishes
No, I wouldn't like to come to Switzerland as a tourist. I search to gather information about the knee replacement surgery in Switzerland and the related centers and the good hospital and clinic and any other necessary information about the matter. then I decide to come to Switzerland as a patient to replace my knee.
thanks alot

Lots of good places in Switzerland to have a knee replacement. Since you are not resident here, and neither are you in the insurance system, you‘ll probably go into the private hospital system, where you pay for the whole thing yourself. I have no idea of cost.
In Zürich, Hirslanden, Schulteiss, Balgrist are good places.
In Bern, Hirslanden, Lindenhof
No idea about other locations
The surgery itself is a 4-5 day hospital stay, and then you‘d have physio therapy another 2-3 months. Not sure how much convalescence you‘d do in Switzerland and when you can return home. You‘ll need to be here for a consult with the surgeon, at least 6-8 weeks prior to surgery so they can image your knee and develop the customized parts of your prosthesis.
You could be looking at 6 months here, or perhaps several trips back and forth.
You might start by contacting the knee surgery/orthopedic practices in the above clinics.

And the rehabilitation is the hardest and the most expensive part. It needs some weeks in a Reha clinic. My belle mère just did it and it was a long process, And it is veeery costly if you don't have health insurance.

Others have already mentioned Hirslanden hospital in Zurich. They have a special webpage and contacts for international patients, with information in English, German, French, Russian and Arabic. https://www.hirslanden.ch/en/corpora...-patients.html | This user would like to thank doropfiz for this useful post: | |

I went to my GP, he examined the knee, said it was worth getting it x-rayed, gave me a prescription, I made an appointment at the radiology place, had the X-ray done then went back to the GP to get the results.
Actually it was an arthro radiography so they took normal x-rays then injected something into the knee before taking more images.

they take several views. Straight ahead standing, and multiple views with your knee bent, sitting and standing. One I had was with my knee bent next to a metal rod to see how far my knee would bend. I also had multiple ct scans of my knee. Your specific positioning depends on your doctor and your problem. I’ve had none with contrast medium.

no x-ray should be an 'every day x-ray' - your cryptic comments are just bizarre. Why the drip, drip?
