| | Family death counselling
I just saw my sister 47 die of cancer in the UK, totally unexpected and as a single mum she leaves two kids 11 and 15. I am the closest geographically to sort out the house, kids, dog, etc. Are there grievance counsellors here you can turn to in your time of need, Kanton Thurgau.

I'm so sorry for your loss. That must be devastating. I have no advice to give unfortunately. Just wanted to let you know I had read the post and feel for you.

Telandy, I am so very sorry.
Losing a sibling cuts so deep - even more so when unexpected.
When so much responsibility suddenly falls to you, it can be hard to allow yourself to grieve as you need to - please take care of yourself as you are taking care of your family.
My heart goes out to you and your family.
---
While I don't know a grief counselor in Thurgau, as a first step you could always call Die Dargebotene Hand, 143. This is the general crisis hot line - counselors there could likely point you in the right direction. https://ostschweiz.143.ch
I am so sorry.

I am so sorry for your loss, what a terrible shock for you and the family.
I don't know of any resources for you, but it sounds like a few others do. It's good you're reaching out for support and I hope you receive all the support you (and the kids) need.

So sorry for your loss Telandy, there are no words..
As time passes and perceptions and emotions touch you, having an access to counseling can really make a difference.
I couldn’t find a psychologist specialized in grief counseling in Thurgau, nevertheless this might be a place to start https://www.psychologie.ch/fsp-register
It’s the Swiss register of psychologists (thus professionals covered by health insurance).
Kindly note that even if you do not have private health insurance, therapy with a recognized psychologist can be covered by basic health insurance if your family doctor prescribes it.
I wish you strength.

I am so very very sorry for your loss. I lost my sister to cancer in 2011 - I have no contacts to give you but if you'd like to meet for coffee/drink, I'm in Frauenfeld and have an empathetic ear.
Take care,
Katerina

I'm sorry for you loss.
I don't know if it needs to be in English but I think if you would contact familientrauerbegleitung.ch I'm sure they can advise you.
You could also directly contact one that is listed in your area.

For the kids, that can be arranged through their schools.
And it's covered by basic insurance in either case.

So very sorry to hear you are going through this terrible time. Hope you find support soon in your area. Why not ask your GP?
