Good ophthalmologist in Zurich? Possible danger of blindness

Hi all

Anyone can recommend a good and experienced ophthalmologist in Zurich?

For 5 or 6 years now I'm waking up in the middle of the night with very intense pain in one or both my eyes.

I've seen several specialists, the treatment I got worked in the beginning but then the pain came back.

And the last doctor told me it could be something called Cogan Syndrome - which is an autoimmune disease that can lead to blindness.

And now I'm 5 days after the last episode and the eyesight is a bit blurred on my right eye.

So I'm writing this hopping I can get a recommendation for someone who has enough experience to deal with this problem.

Thank you!

Universitätsspital Zürich, Klinik für Immunologie.

They are specialized in treating patients with Vaskulitiden, if you scroll down, the Cogan Syndrome is one of the Vaskulitiden.

They should be the people to turn to and get an analysis.
Alle the best.

Re: Good ophthalmologist in Zurich? Possible danger of blindness

In addition to the University Hospital to which Curley rightly linked, there is also the Zurich City's merged hospital now known as "Stadtspital Waid und Triemli".

The Triemli part has an eye clinic in Triemli hospital itself https://www.stadt-zuerich.ch/augenklinik,
and a second department in Zollikerberg: https://www.spitalzollikerberg.ch/augenzentrum
