I'll bet that news wouldn't be available anywhere in English.

It looks like the rate of new cases has been holding semi steady, if not curving down the last few days, which looks like good news. I'd be concerned if there was a progressive rise in the number of positives as the week went on.
Shows a good result I'd say.
Amount of maximum performed tests is stable over the last days, so confirmed cases should not show a lot of change due to testing limitations.

Ah, a sample of 1.

I spoke to one of the dead who said it was worse than they thought
I spoke to a load of them, but my Italian is terrible and my Chinese nonexistant. I've not been able to draw any conlcusions other than I need to get out of my apartment sometime soon.

BoJo getting Covid-19 has given this thread a much needed boost, and brought out the usual UK despisers.
Many of us absolutely love the UK- but despise Johnson and what he and his mates have done and are doing, to it. Massive difference.

I see a lack of flattening but not +1400 cases, more on the order of +500

Scratch that, RTS showing +1397 - damn

Federal council meeting again, we'll see how they react but you gotta wonder if they will not implement stronger guidelines to follow
As I've said before you need to look at the date the test was taken. Many if those are from 2 days ago .

Also better to look at a 3 or 4 day moving average to see the trend.

But let's hope it's mild. If he dies, at this time it would be worse for the UK. I mean, look who would take over...

He looks knackered.. I wish him a speedy recovery.
Health secretary Matt Hancock also tests positive. Literally the two most important people in government at this time.

Which is good in a way, since you only seem to meet people who are out alone.

I thought his post was well played dry sarcasm and quite funny. The "Swiss" are generally pedantic A$$holes when it comes to their rules. Govt or otherwise.
I didn't know the poster's style and there are a few people on this forum who would have written that without a trace of irony.

But yes, you're probably right.

My problem is I've been dealing with too many inflexible officials in the last few days although granted, they do have their work cut out at the moment but even so, it doesn't take any them any longer to say 'yes' rather than 'no'.

What is a diversity department? At any rate, I cannot imagine this would not be studied. It‘s a really interesting and important question.
And I cannot imagine Italian or French unis will study this epidemic/pandemic in a diversity department. But hey ho, the usual drivel.

Conversely everyone I know, when questioned, think he's a godsend, especially compared to where the country would be with dithering Corbyn in charge.

BoJo and the boy Rishi are spaffing great dollops of cash keeping the good ship Blighty afloat in these stormy, corona filled seas.

And Corbyn at Prime Ministers Questions could only summon a "Would the Prime Minister please tell me what I should say to Mabel, a 76 year old retired saint from Cleethorpes, who cannot get her veins done this week because this vile Tory government have taken all the beds in preparation to save Mabel when the Coronavirus gets her?"

Re: Coronavirus

The OFPS have published an age graph of current victims in Switzerland

Median age 83

no deaths below 30, 1 in the 30-39 age group, 1 in the 40-49, few in the 50-59 and most in the 80+

Still nothing about those young intubated in Swiss hospitals...

A lot of the Italians I know get together with the extended family, every lunchtime for an extended family lunch. There could be easily be twelve people at one sitting from three or four households.

They are not doing it now but otherwise, it would be great way to spread a virus.

Perhaps it's more of a Southern Mediterranean thing?

Of course, and they know it very well. After everything will be over, there will be a lot of research and doctoral theses on the subject, I'm pretty sure about it. My point was that studies on medical themes being approved or disapproved by some imaginary diversity department is nonsensical.

I love Boris and his mates. They have done a great job so far.
The only negative thing they did so far was to adhere to the herd immunity before they changed their mind and followed Switzerlands good example.

Virtue signaling had the first half, but later in the game the common sense took over.
This piece of art had the same kind of journey:
