There was no restriction on leaving CH during the lock down only on entry. Now those restrictions will be lifted on 11th of May. Depending on other borders people will be able to cross freely
But unless restrictions are lifted in other countries they won’t be able to do much once they get there.

What about trains, do you know?

Lot of people commute here by trains.

SBB says that they are slowly increasing the train connections again.

https://news.sbb.ch/artikel/95750/co...im-bahnverkehr

As from April 27 some bigger connections will be reinstated. It looks like that more and more trains will step by step added by May 11.

I've heard from a reputable source that injecting bleach or chlorine shoud kill the virus.
If the pools open I'd say there'll be a stink of chlorine off them.

Any ramp up alternative suggestions to this?
Before today's news came out, I would say a big ramp-up would be to go with the way the state of Georgia in the USA has - let everyone out, loony or not, sick or not, etc.

Jokes on him, everybody is using contactless to avoid filthy cash.
Maybe not? A friend posted on FB that he caught his father (quite elderly) literally baking cash on a cookie sheet to disinfect it. When asked WTH, dad said cash will still be king when the world falls apart and you can't access your 1s and 0s from online.

As Belgianmum said, even though we weren't prohibited by the Swiss from leaving, just about anywhere we'd want to go either prohibited entry if you weren't a resident or citizen, required some special circumstance in order to let you in, or required a 14-day quarantine upon arrival. I have a feeling the last one is going to be with us for a while.

I find it interesting that Switzerland continues to have more cases than New Zealand, but NZ is still keeping a tighter lockdown than here.

Because NZ isn't complacent and clearly values all lives.

Heres what the idiots decided in their top meeting just now!!

"However, a distinction must be made between sport and leisure. Sport is allowed, leisure is not. You can go to the swimming pool to exercise, that is, amateur and competitive athletes. But you can't go to the outdoor pool to meet friends or to lie in the sun."

What planet are we on here?? DDR concept!

#fake news Read the rules, "freely" is not one of them.
Many Swiss restrictions on cross-border movement will remain in place.

Did anyone hear mention of anything as to the recommendation for people to still work from home where possible?
So they are not opening the borders on the 11th of May, they are just loosening the restrictions a little and V is as usual talking crap.

Yes, they were recommending that wherever possible people should continue to work from home.

Source?
Fake news - go on the "worldometres" site. Obviously there is day to day variation but the clear trend there is down. April 27 at 988 new cases was the first day below a thousand since March 14.

There's also the little fact that it's a low population island a million miles away from anywhere else so inherently is operating from a very different starting position to Switzerland. Eg it can easily operate quarantine for new arrivals. Perhaps eradication is possible there. It certainly isn't in the middle of Europe.

You keep on saying that you don't believe in eradication but in keeping the number of cases manageable, but then complain when Switzerland tries to operate such a policy exactly in line with this.

ETH calculate the price of this will be somewhere in the range 5,000 - 20,000 additional deaths by mid September.
